The Oquirrh Mountain Range, as seen from Antelope Island in The Great Salt Lake. This mountain range runs north-south for approximately 30 miles to form the west side of Utah's Salt Lake Valley. I'm not typically in favor of turning photographs to black and white because that isn't what we see in nature...at least most of us. That said, I liked this result because it's simple and depicts what I saw.

Hello and welcome to my photography gallery. My journey into the fascinating world of photography began in 2007 when I decided I was ready to upgrade from a very basic point-and-shoot camera to something that would allow me more options for the photographs I was taking. I chose an Olympus SP-560UZ which proved to be the perfect camera to learn my craft with. It did not accommodate interchangeable lenses...cuz I was a newbie and what did I know? I used this camera for the next ten years taking a variety of wonderful photographs covering a gamut of subjects. In 2017 I was gifted a new Nikon D3400 camera with an 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens. Now I was raring to go. If I had to choose a favorite subject I would have to say florals....
