Description
Idaho's "City Of Rocks" is haven for rock climbers who refer to the area simply as "The City". For rock climbing enthusiasts it contains more than 1000 traditional and bolt-protect routes. In the 1800's it was home to some of the most difficult routes in the country, mostly developed by Idaho climber Tony Yaniro. The area's historical and geological values, scenery, and opportunities for recreation led to its designation as "City Of Rocks National Reserve" in 1988.
